I saw this article from GHacks, but wondered if there were more programs or methods out there?

Also, if I have programs installed on my HDD and then move them to the SSD and use the 'file link' method...will it still be as fast as if the files were originally installed on the SSD? I'm guessing that the program will have to go to the HDD for each file, see the link, then go to the SSD for the actual file. Is this correct? If so, it seems that it would be a slight performance hit.

In my opinion the best method is creating an ntfs junction point. This is basically linking a folder on one NTFS filesystem to a second folder on a different NTFS filesystem. In this method (linking Program Files/somefolder from the hard drive to someotherfolder on the SSD)

the speed would be no different than if you installed the program directly on the SSD.
