My band had a guy edit together some video/audio for us, and he gave us uncompressed .MOV files to work with. We'll be putting these videos onto a CD we have coming out, so we'll (obviously) need to compress them, as they're currently 800 Mb each. While I know there are tons of programs out there to re-encode (correct term?) & re-size .avi and .mpg files, I haven't had a lot of luck finding programs that do the same with .mov files. I'm not sure if the big ones do it (virtualDub I think it's called?) or if I need some stupid mac program or what.
I'm kind of a n00b when it comes to video, so if I said anything that doesn't make any sense or is just plain stupid, please cut me some slack: I want to learn
