Mouse

I'm sporting an MX518 right now. It's sort of like the old school Intellimouse Optical (which they don't make any longer), so I went for it for comfort and number of buttons.
I liked the laser G series laser mice, but they're missing a side button. I want MORE buttons, not less. That was a definite no-go for me.
I used to have an MX1000, but the buttons were sticky due to a SetPoint bug. For instance, I'd set the Doom "run" function to the "zoom down" button and it worked like a toggle, no matter what. In fact, all 3 of the side buttons did that sporatically. The problem is they don't do it EVERY time, so you can't even treat those functions like a true toggle function.
The idea behind the MX1000 is great (a buttload-o-buttons), but it's just quirky.
I guess Logitech has some more mice due soon, but it looks like all of them only have the one side button again :p
I'm still convinced that we need an old school 3-button mouse with a wheel between button's 1 and 2 as well as 2 side buttons.
It still irks me that all of the supposed gaming mice are only focusing on sensitivity instead of actual functionality.
The really good pro players tend to use stock mice without any sensitivity driver wackiness. You're either good or you're not...no sensitivity setting's changing that. However more buttons would help us all. If you don't want 'em - don't use 'em.
