mouse problems

i recently started to have problems with my mouse it will like jump around "mouse pointer" or like go page forward or page back for no reason i have no reason why someone please help me! this is on a corded mouse to

Ball or optical...
ball.. clean out the mouse's belly lint
optical... um dont think anything gets too dirty.

Going back and forwards um maybe go scan for viruses or spyware... those do weird things to your computer.

Try cleaning it out. There are rollers, and they usually get gunked up with stuff. Grab a q-tip (cotton swabs?) and some alchohol, and go for it.
