So just the other day whenever i play my games in Steam, I'm having a problem where even though my games are in full screen mode, my mouse moves over to my 2nd monitor. It only started doing this after i installed Company of Heroes, which i uninstalled to see if it would fix it, which it didn't.

I have scoured google for a fix with no luck. This is a definite problem when playing RTS games because when i scroll around the map, i can't scroll to the right without my mouse moving to the other monitor.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled my video drivers, verified game caches in steam, and messed with my monitor settings and nothing has worked.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well it never did it until the other day so there must be a fix. I don't want to disable my monitor or use third party software like mousejail

In a multi-monitor setup, "full-screen" is actually "windowed" and "maximized" -- If it were true full-screen, it would be spanning all your screens to begin with. Instead, it is set to the resolution of your primary screen only.

I have never seen a game NOT allow the mouse cursor to move between screens on a spanned display setup, even in full-screen mode.

I just found it weird that it only started doing it after I downloaded CoH. Whenever I start up CoH I have to alt+tab to put the game in windowed mode and again to put it back in fullscreen or the cursor moves to my other monitor causing me not to be able to pan the screen to the right when I'm playing.

And with all my fps games it just does it at the main menu and when the games loading.

get ultra-mon, you can lock and unlock your mouse to the game window with a hot key (mines alt+f10) and this will not happen anymore.

Really ultra-mom is a must for anyone with a multi-monitor set-up, adds alot of small things that are nice to have like hot-keys to switch a window from one screen to the other and such.

I have ultra mon, just hoping I could find a fix that doesn't include using software.

ah k, Ive been using ultra-mon since I first got my second monitor so I never experienced these kind of problems, sorry i cant help ya.

I find that hard to believe since I'm playing games fine with 3 monitors while only using the middle one for games like SC2 and the mouse is trapped... even if I set SC2 to windowed fullscreen or windowed mode.

Also, if it were actually a maximized window then SLI and xfire would break as well... which they don't obviously.

its a windows thing.. ive had it with some games that work perfectly fine with dual displays then other games screw up my panning.. civ 5, COHO, and a few other RTS games are like this.. but supreme commander has absolutely no issues with the second monitor..

but yeah i agree with multi-display(non eyefinity/surround) ultramon is a must..

Ultra mon is a great program for dual displays. Ill probably just start disabling my second monitor when I play, although the past couple times I have fired Company of heroes up, the cursor stays trapped to my primary from the get go but then ill exit and start it again and I have to alt+tab to fix it, very odd.
