i have a ratpadz GS, and a microsoft intelamouse explorer 4.0(w/ horozontal scrole weal). im looking to give/sell my GS to a freind, and since my mouse is acting up(clicks twice when you click once, second MS mouse to do this, and im fed up), im looking to get a MX500 or 510. i have a little bit of money now, and i want to know weather to go with (if i like my GS better, ill sell my new one to my freind for a small loss). im thinking of geting a fUnC 1030 black w/ some tape(35 bucks w/ tape and shiping), a stealpad(comes w/ tape, 40 w/ shiping) or a icemat glass pad(comes w/ tape, 40 w/ shiping). can anyone give me an idea on what to use? i like my GS, but i have heard that the others are somewhat better. appart from the home team sentament, what do you think is the best pad?

I'm currently running with an MX510 and a Steel 4S and I noticed aiming go up the first time I killed someone in ET, I suggest trying out the combo. :)

I brought my Ratzpad classic to Quakecon, with my Razer Viper. They don't make a good combo, the Viper is so low ot the ground that it grinds across the pad. I was planning on buying a func pad, but there was a booth setup there with a dozen or so different pads. I went and pulled my mouse off my system and brought it over there and tried it out on a few pads. Fell in love with the Everglide pad and have been using it since.

This mouse and this pad are -so- smooth together. I have yet to have anyone who has come over and use my computer not put their hand on the mouse, move it, jerk their hand off and go *holy crap that thing is smooth* or somthing to the same meaning. It would take a lot to get me to change to somthing else. Only thing I can really see is if Razer releases a new version with 1 more button (desperately needs a side button for reload).

I just got an xray thunder 8 pad, and it's great. It's bigger than the func, won't warp over time, and the material is better. Same price too.

I like my Steelpad 4S but I have also used the fUnc and it's a nice surface too.

you think i should go with a func over the more expensive brands? i love smotheness, and like my mouse to slide(like a just pledged ratpadz). i realy dont care that much about noise(as my ratpadz makes plenty).

bumpy... im definatly getting a mx510 now(the blue one)... im split between the func and the steel pad... has anyone used them both? should i get both and send one back???

a lot of the best gamers in the world are playing on supermats. The huge size is great for comfort and low sensitivity gaming. The friction the cloth gives makes you much more consistant. For high sens home casual gaming go ahead and get an expensive low friction pad. When you want to get serious the huge cheap cloth mats are the way to go.

what, if i get a func ill become a gun nut?... on second thought... maby i shoudlnt have said that(quickly locks the doars and calls the witness protection agency)

lol i have 4 funcs for every pc in each room , i love em

another vote for x-ray thunder pads .. i got 2 .. better than my old func .. but still wish they made original ratpads

We can talk about pads on here now? I remember when I asked a question and I got threatened to be banned from here.

why would you want something that slows you down?
Anywho are the func pads any smoother than the everg----/Ratzpadz and how about the smootheness of the Steelpad S&S and the steelpad 4D I had one like the ever--- and I thought it friggin sucked. anyone checking out the Razer eXactMat?
