So the problem is I load XP and the mouse does not respond I have to press the HW reset button. This has been going on for a while now I have two of these boards and it only does it one and no matter what mouse I try same thing. and all of my USB ports are filled is it time to RMA this board? Or could it be a setting in the bios I missed?

What boards are you referring to?

If you can borrow another mouse to try it will help narrow down the problem.
Does the mouse work on another PC?
Try plugging the mouse into a different port. A port may be faulty or the driver somehow messed up. Using a different port will install the driver again for that port.

Try removing some other USB devices in case the problem is lack of power.
If you have a USB hub, try plugging your mouse into that.

Oh sorry I was too quick to hit submit:rolleyes: I have two Asus A8N-E Motherboards and the mouse is an Logitech MX518 (Just got it free from Logitech as my MX 510 Died Totally Don't know if my MB killed it though) and I'm Using the PS/2 Connection I will try the USB connection and see what happens though. it even does it with a Legacy plan PS/2 Mouse though and the mouse works fine on my other A8N-E and my mothers computer and my laptop

Definately gotta use USB. PS/2 isn't very good for some of the newer stuff nowadays.
