Mouse Mats?

I have a Microsoft Intelli Explorer 4.0a optical mouse and I play alot of First Person Shooter games like UT2004.

I use a cheap mousepad, and sometimes I dont use a mat at all. Would my gaming skill increase if I got a very good mousemat?

Anyone recommend a good mouse mat for a gamer like me please?

no, your skills will NOT increasae simply because you buy a new mousepad. You may find it easier to aim or manoeuver around though.

If i may find it easier to move and aim then wouldnt this therefore improve my skill? Since movement and aimming makes up most of the skill in UT2004, why shouldnt this improve my skill?

The best ut2k4 players are using logitech mx510 mice on supermats with low sensitivity (usually 1). A supermat is a very large cloth mousepad, you can find them online I dont know where, you can get an expensive one at www.fatal1ty.com

The pad is not about skills, it just solves the problems with gliding etc!
I use Icemat Black 2nd edition (extra large one) IMHO this is the pad for gaming!
I've also heard that the Steelpad is a very good gamin pad!
