I have around $110 to spend on a mouse, keyboard, and a mousepad. Its for gaming so please, if you suggest something, make sure it is good for gaming. My friend has dual opticals on his mouse. He says its great. Also what mousepad should I get? Nothing too fancy please. I kind of want to go wireless btw but some people say it isn't as good for gaming?

Thanks

Logitech mx500 or mx510, if you feel the need for a blue or red mouse. mx700 if you want cordless (but you pay for it with extra weight). Logitech Elite keyboard, or Logitech Internet Navigator if you prefer white(if you want a cordless desktop just get the Logitech Cordless duo, comes with a mx700 and a cordless Elite I think?). Mousepad, I personally find a cut off side of a plain binder works as good as a ratzpad or anything else. I can't justify any amount of money on mousepads.

Cordless is good, as the battery life of the logitech mice is good. The only drawback is the weight of batteries in the cordless mice. Which I personally can't work with.

I'm assuming the mx500/510 is not cordless. As far as a keyboard? The MX 700 Duo good? I doubt it can be that great for gaming though. What about a dual optical mouse.

Think a
MX 700 duo, Steelpad 4d, Steelpad 4d teflon things for the mouse's feet

Will be good for gaming?

I like the mouse choice, but I like the Logitech Elite better for the keyboard. It absolutely rules, especially if you like to have media functions right on the keyboard. It's available in cordless along with the MX700 in the Logitech Cordless MX Duo.

Mousepads, I've heard the Ratzpads are good, but I've also heard they wear down easily.

I've heard good things about the MX500 or the MX510. My vote is for the 510, though.

I just switched from a Logitech MX Duo to the Logitech Elite and the MX 510. The wireless keyboard didnt work right for me, I guess because I have so many electronic devices in my room so I think they were causing interference. I sold it to my friend and it works fine for him so I assume thats the reason. Anyway, I find that the 510 is superior to the 700 as it just feels smoother and tracks better.

I also have a RatPadz GS and I love that as well. I've had it for about 8 months I guess and I'm noticing that it is getting a little worn down in the middle. Its still works fine though so I would still recommend it.

The thing about the MX500 and 510 is that they both feel fantastic in your hand (you right-handed or left-handed?). I've heard the MX series described as a "La-Z-Boy for your hand." :D

The MX510 is available in red or blue. Here is a good review, with lots of pictures. The MX sensor used on these mice is very well designed, and will remove any errors caused by a slow mouse, I guarantee (however, the MX510 sensor is much more sensitive than the 500.) The extra buttons on the mouse are useful for Windows applications as well.

Whatever mouse you choose, I'm sure you'll be happy with it for gaming. However, there's more to computing than just gaming. :)
