i have this weird problem with my mouse. after i moved my computer, windows xp stopped recognizing my mouse. so i reformatted and installed windows 2000, but yet the mouse is still not recognized. i tried both ps/2 and usb, but there's still not even a mouse category in device manager (yet my keyboard that's plugged into a ps/2 port works fine). i tried the mouse on another computer and it worked fine. i think i've narrowed it down to my motherboard. it is a biostar m7vig. could it be that the mobo's ps/2 and usb ports are shot? thanks.
