Is there any prefered mouse or type of mouse for professional graphics artists? Or do the pros just use normal mice?

not really...but i do suggest getting a wacom tablet if you do a lot of work in photoshop...

get good with it, you will find some things a whole lot easier

You will ultimatley want a tablet as already mentioned. I am probably in photoshop 4 or more hours a day. I use a wacom tablet for the most part but also use a razer copperhead mouse on this same machine - this allows me speed the mouse up when I want it and slow it down for detailed precision when I need that.

I was going to say that too. Forget the mouse, get a wacom tablet. I use the wacom tablet quite a bit. This in combination with the G7, works great for me.

I dont like my wacoms tablet its to small (4x6) and I got a widescreen monitor, so its pretty akward to use

so buy a widescreen tablet (wacom has one)

or get a bigger tablet

or map the tablet to have a same (or close to the same) aspect ratio as your screen.

you have options!

My vote goes to getting a tablet also (Wacom seems to be standard)...

It takes a while to get use to, but it's all worth it.
