this just started up for me. When I single click on a link sometimes , my computer thinks im double clicking

so if i click on an icon, it'll open 2 instances of the program.

this happens on some clicks and works fine with others. my mouse is pretty old, but i dont think its the problem. this had happened to me before and had went away, now it's back.

im suspicious nod32 could be guilty of this, but not sure.

I seem to remember a setting to enable single click = double click.. but I cant remember where, maybe under your mouse settings,

My computer (or file explorer) / tools/ folder options/general tab "Click items as follows"

this happens on some clicks and doesnt happen on others.

i'm still baffled

Try the above fix anyway. Switch it to a single click apply and ok then go back in and set to double click apply and ok. Then see if it's still an issue. And to rule it out... try another mouse just to humor us :)

deal is, this happens a while after a restart (couple days??)

i just restarted and im having no probs clickin

Just some info for you. I run NOD32 on the system in my specs with Windows XP Pro SP2 and all updates and I don't have that problem. I'm not saying that NOD32 isn't your problem, I'm just saying that I don't have that problem.

I would definitely try another mouse though.
