mouse and keyboard freeze

[[teh]manwich]

lately my keyboard and mouse occassionally freeze up, like for example with the keyboard sometimes ill type a word and it will do this "theeeeeeeeeeeeee" when i was just trying to type the word "the". with the mouse, it sometimes just freezes in place and the only way to get it moving again is to press something on the keyboard and it will move again. it seems to be getting worse and it never did this with my previous video card (x1900xtx).
any solutions?

btw, the mouse is a logitech g5, and the keyboard is a Saitek PZ3OAU.
