Mounting bracket AM3?

Hi,

I have a coolermaster V8 cooler and I want to attach it to a Asus M5A78L-M-USB3:

The Coolermaster V8 manual shows a mounting bracket for an AM2 motherboard (A and E):

As I understand it, the AM2 and AM3 brackets are the same. Will the V8 mounting bracket I have for AM2 fit on the above motherboard?

Also while I'm here, will that motherboard mount in a Coolermaster CM690 Chasis?

Yes, see my sig. I had my overclocked BE 965 under a Coolermaster V-8 cooler until ti died.

Mini-ITX will (typically) mount into a standard ATX case. You'll just be wasting a ton of room
