Obviously, the online support community for the Linksys WRT54G (and GL) has been phenomenal, enabling many users to "hack" their routers into a lean, mean, security machine.

However, after browsing Wikipedia's article on the Linux firmware hacking, I came across this:

As you can see, apparently the WR850G is almost identical to the WRT54G and is just as hackable. Haven't personally tried this on my version v2 model yet, but will probably get to it sometime this weekend.
