For the last 4 days ive been haveing connection problems with my Sb4220 Motorola Cable Modem, I've emailed Motorola tech support about 3 times and summing up our mails they had said i was getting frequent t3 disconnections, that my modem was not syncing with the cable signal as it should be. I was directed to call Charter (my ISP) and to ask for them to check my signal. I waiting on hold for about 30+ min with charter just for them to tell me everything was fine. I left my modem unplugged the next night as well as my computer just to satasfy my restless mind.

basically whats happening is I'm loseing my connection to the internet for about 20-30 seconds and than it reconnects and theres no problems. The thing is I play games ALOT and its really annoying when im being disconnected, the disconnects happen regardless of what im doing, my log tells me ive been cutt off about 18 times while im not even at my computer. if theres any suggestions or solutions that would be very cool, thanks :)

My suggestion is squirrels. As odd as that sounds, the critters have chewed through my part of the cable run to the house quite a few times and the drop had to be replaced.

Oh, and there should be a way to check your signal strength on the modem by typing in the ip I want to say 192.168.100.1, but I'm really not positive).
