Motorola has a well earned reputation for releasing fine performing, mid-range phones which is why their Moto G line of phones have been so well received. The Moto G6 continues that trend.

Last month I purchased the Moto G6 as a phone to hold me over until I purchase my next flagship phone. I didn't anticipate that the 1080p display would look as sharp and colorful as it does, nor did I anticipate the single speaker would be so loud.

Enjoying the phone more than I envisioned. Whatever length of time it takes before I find my flagship phone is going to pass by without feeling pressured.

Battery life has been great.

What negative things have you heard? From what I have seen/read/watched its being received about the same as any other Moto G phone. From what I have seen its the best all around mid range phone on the market right now. It checks all the marks I would want for a phone and would even consider it more of an entry level flagship than a budget phone. In its target market (mostly India and some other Asian countries like the Philippines) its probably going to be the best selling phone of all time from Motorola.

Project Fi is now offering it for $199 in Black and Blush colors.

How does the new SD 4xx chip hold up? One thing that bugs is no nfc. It's none to have as I so you use it in occasion... Even if it's really just a gimmick at this point

Am sorry but I can't answer that. I don't have the need for additional storage so I haven't installed an SD card.

Edit: My apologies, I misunderstood your question. Please see Post #8 below.
