Motherboard with good sound?

What motherboard would have decent sound to plug into JBL monitors? Getting 9900k.

Gigabyte with Creative sound had the overall best quality on my ears.

The latest onboard sound is Realtek 1220 or some variation. It's supposed to be pretty good but I'm personally having problems with static / cross-talk on my Taichi - same case and same parts as my previous x99 build - which had no problems at all. Thought it might be a bad board so bought another one from a different vendor and both seem to have it. Not sure if it's so new that the drivers aren't mature or what but YMMV.
