I'm looking for a place to buy motherboard trays. I know about the aluminum Lian Li tray, but I was wondering if there's anything cheaper that $24 each.

I'm building a case for two computers. Actually, it's a wood end table, patterned after the old turn of the century wood ice-boxes. You've probably seen them at a furniture store. Anyhow, i'm fitting two full computer setups in the box, and I need to find some motherboard trays. I'm looking for the kind that has the tray, and the part to hold the cards in place. I'll be cutting a hole in the tray around the processor area for backside board cooling.

I've considered making my own just from aluminum straps, just enough to hold the cards to the board, and mount the board to the case. That would leave the whole back of the boards open for cooling. Anyone made anything like that?

I'm just saying if thats the kind of tray you need/want then the Li-Li tray is pretty much the only game in town.

That is if you don't mind making your own.
