My son's system has been plagued with BSOD's for a while. Most happen when you plug a USB device into it. It is an Asus X58 sabertooth with an i7 920 running win 7 x64. I have re-installed chipset drivers, updated the bios, swapped video cards and even memory chips, and the BSOD's continue.
I have a spare p6t motherboard sitting around. If I uninstall all of the chipset drivers, throw the replacement board in will win 7 be able to handle it?
My son has lived with the nuisance for a long time because of all of the custom mods he has done to installed simulator software.
Any insight on making this a smooth transition?
