Motherboard recommendation?

I'm looking to build a new system and would like some suggestions regarding the motherboard and memory.

I'm planning on building the system based on the Intel Core 2 Duo processor. I'd like to try the ASUS motherboards primarily because I've heard they are good, but am open to other suggestions. The system will not be overclocked and I'm looking for reliability and a board that doesn't run hot.

I'll set it up with at least 1 gig RAM to start, so any suggestions as to appropriate modules to go with the motherboard you suggest would be appreciated.

It is going to be a general purpose system. Business apps (MS Office, accounting software, Internet, and some light gaming).

Almost 30 views and not a single recommendation. I know this is a boring post compared to all the talk about overclocking, but please take a second and help a newbie out here eh? :D

Well, if you're not overclocking and you're not into running games on this, then I would suggest a Intel Motherboard. Intel motherboards have been known to be rock stable as it gets. As for memory, get some good quality brand memory that is on the compatibility list.

There really is no need to get an enthusiast board if you're not overclocking or gaming unless you need some of the features that some boards come with (e.g. WiFi on the Asus).
