So I bought a 775 mobo off a forum member here.
I put it all together and turned it on and got no video signal
Unplugged the HDD and CDROM drive and got video signal but I had to run bios setup.
Turn it off and plug in just the HDD and once again, no video

Could this be the motherboards problem or something possibly else?
I've tested the PSU, CPU, RAM and the video card in another machine.

yes it could be the mobo video card slot , does the mobo have onboard video ?

Its probably the motherboard. But that doesn't mean the board is bad. The ram or cpu may not be compatible with it.

I would see if you can put the latest bios on a thumb drive, and see if you can flash it from within the bios.

I'll give that a shot, I've got the board to get video a couple times threw the PCI-E slot, but its VERY intermittent, I've never got video from the onboard.
The board recognizes the CPU and RAM just fine when I can get it to get video and get into the bios.

I haven't messed with onboard video very much. I would see if theres an enable or disable option for onboard video. And set it to the primary video source if its an option.

Well, even after I completely pull the CMOS battery, and clear everything, I still get no video from anything.

contact seller... check if he had problems...

This is why I hate classifieds

Found a speaker and plugged it in on the mobo header, no beeps, no video, nothing.
