Motherboard Issue?

I'm using an old motherboard right now, ecs 945p-a and it has a 3 pin thing for clearing cmos, It came with a jumper that covered 2 pins but I lost it, the computer wont show video on start up so I think the pin config is clearing cmos everytime or something, and then i found a random jumper on a old hard drive. and still nothing is showing up on the monitor. Ive tried two video cards. and nothing happens so its not the video card problem....:mad:

ive also tried 2 monitors. nothing shows up....what is wrong...is my motherboard broken???:confused:

i dont' think that would break your mobo, but perhaps the settings would reset everytime you rebooted perhaps. have you checked all of your cables?
 
try removing the battery from the motherboard and give it a few minutes. try clearing with the pin, then put it all back in and see
 
Check the batteries voltage.
It should be at the voltage or higher than that which is etched into the battery.
A low battery will cause the cmos to clear and can cause problems using the PC.

It didnt work...after i did that...whenever i turned on the computer, it would shut down by itself from 5-10 seconds.... :mad: :eek:
