Motherboard book

I have a Compaq Presario computer. Of course it didn't come with a motherboard book. Does anyone know how I can find out what type of motherboard was used in this computer and where I might find a motherboard book for whatever motherboard is installed?

it's a compaq, so good luck trying to get into the bios. Try contacting compaq and ask them what motherboard they use in "xxx" model. Also, compaqs won't come with just the motherboard manual, it'll be a general manual.

I can get into the bios just fine, what did you mean? Did you mean cmos? Do you think that I could get the info if I run AMIMBID?
