Most Useless Cooling Device Ever

Yeah, took me also a bit to figure out what it was for. It'd just push air into the bottom of your CD-ROM and on top of your hard disk, wouldn't do anything for airflow.

It would be more effective to put a removable tray in its place and fill it with ice cubes every 30mins.

Actually, I think it sucks air through that vent in the front and blows it into your case...considering how restrictive that vent looks, how loud do you think those fans are to pull 80CFM through it?

Bah.. I have seen stupider stuff from Thermaltake. Given, I wouldn't buy one of these but if I had one and it was quiet enough, theres a nice spot in my case that is always about 5 degrees hotter than the rest (I have a multi node heat sensor in my case  ). I'm sure it would help there.

In case you were wondering I have an antec 900. The hot spot is at the bottom of the case where my psu is, away from the fan on it. Coolest point is near the cpu where the 200mm and 120mm are sucking hot air out. If they designed a 900 with better cable management in mind, I would never buy another case again.

This thing would be good for making your rig louder...if not cooler.

Might want to read the review...from 1999. The thing actually works, or at least did in my testing in my home system at the time.

Twin Turbo Cooler Fan System Review
No, this has nothing to do with Smokey and the Bandit or anything Nascar. This is about a little unit that got sent our way that I really wrote off as junk. Well, like so many other pieces of crap we get sent, we usually end up at least giving it a go to see how it hangs. I cannot consciously write off a hardware unit that someone took the time and effort to engineer and then send us without it getting the HardOCP once-over. Anyways, this is a case fan unit review and a very interesting one at that.

hehehe everyone got pwn3d. :D :D :p :p

Well, I am not going to tell you that our testing standards are up to what they are to now days, and shit, maybe I put the thing directly over where the mobo took the temperature from. I did not drop a 4 sensor Sperry thermometer in the case like I would now days. ;)

Bottom line is the thing is an exhaust fan, just like any other, only mounted horizontally. Might be a good solution to exhausting your case if it does not have precut grills places well.

Quite frankly a slide out cup holder would be more useful in my opinion.
Would work well with the ice cube idea the other guy had...

Instead of putting that thing in there just take the plastic below the drive out. :)
