I need a good powersupply with very stable voltage. I had an antec TP2 550 but the fan in it died and it overheated a few times so its fubared. Can't RMA because dogged chewed off a SATA power cord.
I know next to nothing about current powersupplies and reviews are crap. What is the general consensus on best bang for the buck awesome overclocking powersupply (my system is pretty reliant on stable voltages to overclock well, when the TP2 started dieing my overclock went to crap).
My system shouldnt pull too much power. Dual core chip, Raptor, 1 cd drive, and a single video card.

Up until now, I had an enermax liberty 500W psu and it was rock solid and provided more than enough juice for my SLI rig. Today I put in a PC Power and Cooling Silencer and I hope it performs as well as my enermax

Here are the brands i recommend

Enermax ( Liberty series )
Seasonic
Pc Power and Cooling
Corsair
Silverstone

This is a great site setup by a fellow member and he knows his stuff. Take a look here for some informative and spot on reviews

Rule out PC Power and Cooling unless you have a huge wad to blow on a PSU alone, they're very pricey and nine times out of ten the brands listed by the above poster (other than PCP&C) do just as well at less than half the price.

Good choice the PC Power & Cooling!!! You can hardly beat there rated specs as well as the quality and workmanship!! With PC Power & Cooling you know that you are getting something that will be funcyional for a very long time!!

Then again there are other PSU`s that are also very good. If your on a budget then check out those other brands.

ALSO the price differences are not all that great anymore up at the top of the heap.
Contrary to what others would have you believe!! You have a very affordable silencer series and the Tirbo cool series is still a top performer!!

Good Luck!!
