Most Compact UPS?

Hi I am looking into purchasing a UltraLux Dawn Simulator (manual if interested) or a SunRizr Dawn/Dusk simulator (the manual if interested), the con is that if the power goes out for either of these, the unit will lose it's programming and may not do it's work. The electricity in this house is terrible and I'm only a resident so there's not much I can do about that. So I thought I would look around and see if there are ultra compact UPSs. I do not see anything obvious. The power requirement is obviously very low draining at most 400 watts, and the duration of power loss would not need to be long at all. Would prefer something with less than 4 outlets. Or maybe there is a different better approach; any UPS unit seems like overkill but I do not know of other viable alternatives. Or perhaps there are better dawn/dusk simulator products than I am looking at. Either way constructive input would be appreciated.

Is 10-30 minutes uptime reasonable? I am looking to keep the simulator (and my regular clock) from resetting/losing programming from relative hiccups.

You could use a wiring channel and run an extension cord from a UPS that you could then hide in a closet or something...

What do you mean by "wiring channel"? I would most likely put the UPS and the simulator underneath a bedstand.

Nevermind, a UPS is just overkill for a clock and a dawn/dusk simulator. I do wonder what it would take to hack a battery into the unit though. Too bad I don't posses the knowledge nor the skills. I did come across another source of dawn simulators @ sunraintime.com very similar to the products already mentioned but much cheaper. Lighten Up! 205 model is similar to the UltraLux. Respectively the Lighten Up! 308 model similar to the SunRizr except the SunRizr does dusk simulation in addition to dawn (the 308 and all the other simulators only does dawn) but the 308 has a backup battery and is much cheaper; yet it is not shipping at the moment (expected to ship Feb). It's hard for me to believe that there is not a better product that does this function.

So if I had the knowledge and the skills it would amount to: hack a backup battary into the SunRizr or hack a dusk function into the Lighten Up!
