I am currently using CoreTemp...

Sitting at 44/44/37/37 right now.

Speedfan reads 30/30/23/23 - which I believe its inaccurate.

The system is watercooled and it's around 78-80 in the room.

I am curious if anyone uses a program that has better accuracy or any recommendations on what to use to monitor temperatures. I like CoreTemp cause it runs in System tray, I believe you can do that with speedfan too however I am sure my processor is not sitting at 23C =)

The quads read 15C lower. Just add a 15C offset in the speedfan options.

Have you also tried the newest speedfan beta?
It's up to 4.34 beta 34

Ahh, the new beta of speedfan is reading accurately.

I guess my processor (q6700) is running hot at 3.6ghz even on water. My q6600 @ 3.4 wouldn't hit 40C at idle, this guy is sitting at 46/47 - but I also have a pair of 8800GTX's sitting on the same loop.

As long as one or the other is reading accurately, it's all good.

Thx
