im looking for manufactured heatsinks... if i can get them cheep enough ill buy some instead of buying a 1u heatsink and chopping it up.. but where are they cheep... frozencpu has them but they are preactically robbing you... i have access to CNC equipment.. maybe best option is too mill myself some?

http://www.frozencpu.com/cgi-bin/frozencpu/vid-24.html those buggers

thanks... if anyone knows a cheeper place stand forward.. zalmans northbridge cooler still the heavyweight in silent cheep dpt??

I really couldnt get behind the price of the Zalman. For that money I could add a NB waterblock to my loop. So I ordered this little setup from sidewindercomputers: http://sidewindercomputers.com/minochcokit.html

Im really needing a new northbridge cooler as my stock Abit one has been crapping out lately and making a ton of noise. I really need the mosfet coolers to continue my OCing as well. my voltage has been all over the place and the mosfets are getting very hot lately. I have that cooler set, a southbridge cooler, a Volt adapter cooler and a few extra small coolers just for whatever coming from Sidewinder. We shall see how well they work when it all arrives sometime next week.

P.S. Sidewinder was really good about calling me to tell me how long the backorder would be( the site did already say they were on B/O when I ordered them) and then they called me again to say they were going out that day. A lot nicer than just a Email.

you can get TO-220 heatsinks just about anywhere for next to nothing.
wow.. thanks alot!
http://www.futurlec.com/Heatsinks/TO220SB.shtml i really like that one... but because of the fact that it wraps around the mosfet.... am i going to need to break out the dremel for some of them? =/ i get the feeling these are meant for vertical mosfets
my mobos voltage regulation systems really tight.. hell my whole mobos realltight...

this looks good... get to re-use my north bridge heat sink this way.. its from another forum tho so ill just quote it
Took the stock NB heatsink and chopped it up and used it to cool my mosfet. Also had a small little heatsink lying around from my video card memory heatsink, chopped it up even smaller for the hot little mosfets around the dimm area.

I would purchase from this guy. I bought some sinks from him for my 6800GT and they work great. Very quick on sending and good in manufacturing.

***New design with more fins *** Blue or Gold color 18mm x 15mm x 12mm (H x L x W) ChipSinks with a peel-off Chromerics thermal interface pad. Those heatsinks are much taller than other that are available on the market. $0.80 each

Black aluminum South / North Bridge heatsinks 35mm x 35mm x 30mm (L x W x H). They come with the peel-off Chromerics thermal interface pad separately. $3.50 each shipped

hmm south bridge is going to be a pain i beleive... getting it to clear my graphics card cooler.. i guess what ill do is ill install it while the graphics card is installed... that way im positive everything fits
