Pretty cool idea for the fans. I wonder if they'll keep all of the infinite-loop combos and glitches intact.
 
In the first game you could actually jump-punch people infinitely with about 1/2 the cast...or just get a 1-hit lead and then just sit in a throw-block crouch. Tons of issues in that one.
#2 shockingly didn't have too many major deal breakers, but it also favored the "hit 'em once and turtle" strategy.
#3 (and Ultimate) was just full-on broken...hence the zillions of revisions and re-balance updates.
 
I really wonder what's going on with this game. It was originally reported as November 16th release date but that's come and gone without even an official announcement.

Even so, with Sony's Classic HD initiative, I can't imagine this being a PS3 exclusive unless Sony is financing the project themselves.
