I'm going to be getting some money over the weekend and I should have enough for either 512mb of mushkin ram or a thermalright sp heatsink and fan and a new logitech keyboard. What would be best? I want to get a higher overclock. I can't get higher than 3Ghz with stock....very dissapointing. I need a new keyboard as this Compaq keyboard that was free is total crap. Which is best? I could live with this keyboard for a while and running at stock speeds is good enough so far...I need another 512mb, i'm so sick of shuting down all my programs just to play a game.

Since you need the keyboard i would go with the second option. Otherwise i would get more RAM instead of overclocking. And after those two needs are met i would buy the thermalright heatsink and fan and overclock.

I would suggest go and get the heatsink and keyboard and overclock as high as you can. Save up for the ram for a later purchase.

Before you make your decision, you should fix the problem of needing to close everything down to run a game. If you have your pagefile disabled, re-enable it because you don't have enough memory.

And of course, my usual advice is don't spend every little cent you get on your computer. If your only upgrading because you just came into some free money, use your head and save it for something worthwhile.

I'm not spending every little cent, I make sure I have plenty of money after I've added everything up.
