"Yesterday we did 87,014 points more than the [H]orde (a record). We have produced 412,580 points more than the [H]orde for the week (a record). All this means is that we are now 889,178 points in front after 19 days and the Flogometer is extremely green. If we keep this up we will be over 11 million points in front by the new year."

That is quoted directly from the OCAU folding website...
We need to pick up our production! They're running away from us and it's gotta stop... CMON GUYS!!!!

I'll start... I just added a 2.4ghz P4 and have a 1.4 Athlon coming on soon...
We need some new recruits!!!!

i'm recruiting when i'm able to see friends etc :) and when school starts up again, i'm going to get the school to put F@H on all of the computers.

Just grabbed a Headless AMD 1000 put together for a friend who's not come to get it out of the closet, and stuck it under the desk ;)

I'm new but I'm trying.. :D

876 Points and Climing

Not much more I can do here. My latest attempt at a recruitment worked in a sense, in that she gave me permission to run FAH on her system, but she turns the darn thing off so much that it'll be a slow producer.

I can't add any machines due to being unemployed and my electric bill is up there enough. Sorry.

why wait for school to start???
i should be ramping up about 50-60ghz in a week or so. i've got all the proxy issues worked out AFAIK, just need to go put the script in the startup sequence for all the machines and reboot em all... but it may be longer than that if we upgrade to fedora core2, but we'll see. i'm over 7ghz now tho. (my 2.3ghz, family 2ghz, and my brother's 3ghz p4)

i'm climbing the ranks slowly now...

oh yeah...

I got my brothers and step dad's new boxes doing it. (2.2 and 2.0 amd)

I need to talk to my school and see if they could install it on their rigs.

Is there any documentation/ stuff I could show them to help convince them?

from the stanford site, i'd show them the explanation of folding and what figuring folding out can do for mankind (specifically solve diseases such as cancer alzheimers etc).

If they want to make their own team, tell them that it'd be kind of pointless since not many schools run their own teams if they run F@H at all. If they still want to congregate the points to one name, create them a name and just point it to team 33.

and with my connections, i could possibly get 2 other schools (with new computers :D) to run F@H too, just need to wait until school starts.

***EDIT***

make SURE you explain that this only uses spare cpu cycles and that it doesn't affect the user's experience with the computer.

Going to add a dualie PIII 733 in a week or so... Also plans on building another system, not sure if I'm going to go with a single proc for gaming or go with another dualie... (Mmmm, thinking dual AMD MP 2800s :D)... that's about a month away though.

I could recuit my sister, she's got a 2.0 or so hyperthreaded dell workstation.

I have about 7 Sparc 20 workstations, they used to crunch seti great, but don't think their anything compiled for sparc at F@H I could probably ebay those off and buy some cheap PC stuff that would be good at crunching out units.

I would definitely retire those old Sun machines. You'll be able to get a lot more work out of an Athlon XP or two and use a lot less power in the process. Good luck getting some $ for those dinosaurs. :)
