according to the article on the Inq it looks like Nvidia is asking for another 75w for their next gen pci-e graphics cards. . .

We also heard that Nvidia asked PCI-Sig to let it use two power connectors for the card, each providing 75W of power. If the Sig agrees, it seems that Nvidia next generation card might end up drying 225W of power. It's simple maths, 75 W from PCIe motherboard connector, and two times 75 from a six pin power connector.

MeanieMan is refering to that the doubling of the spec has been diseminated in here pretty heavily since Mike Chin's review of the Blue Storm back in January

NOTE on PCI-E CURRENT CAPACITY: There was some question about the maximum output capacity for PCI-Express because of the recent changes in the spec by Intel and nVidia. So to avoid confusion, a quick call was placed to Fortron. They confirmed that up to 75W was available on for PCI-e. The latest spec demands as much as 150W. As far as we know, PCI-e VGA cards that demand that much power are not on the market yet, but you should be aware that 75W is the recommended maximum on this PSU
