Is it possible to at least add an option to view 100 posts per page in a thread, and view more threads on a page in a forum?

The maximim views per page is 40. You can opt for that in your user CP.....that's the limit.
 
Also, for the number of threads per page, you can adjust this globally in the CP under "Default Thread Age Cut Off", or you can adjust it at the bottom of an individual forum index page via "Display Options".

From past discussions on this over the years I would say yes, that will remain the limit. However I will hedge the bet by saying that with the vBull upgrade that will be taking place soon, things may change.
