Nvidia is slashing the price of the 280 to $499 and the 260 to $299. Thank ATI for the 48x0 series of cards :)
 
No matter where personal allegiances lie for anyone here, praise competition. Not only has ATI gotten nVIDIA to lower their prices, but they have lit the fire under their asses to get their manufacturing process smaller. This can only help us on every front really.



 
This was in effect since 1 week already. I paid my EVGA GTX 260 Superclocked for 309$ at NCIX.
 
Man, I thought there was going to be a second round of price cuts :(

I know we probably won't see the 280 for $400, but my heart jumped when I saw the thread title
