So my buddy is building a new system. He has the kind of budget that woulld allows him to basically get whatever he wants. He is looking at the EVGA or BFG 295 card with a waterblock. I always help him but together his stuff so im doing a bit of research for him. I have read that custom done liquid cooled setups are the best, I dont deny that. However he is looking for a more out fo the box solution, such as the Koolance EX 2.5, or the Zalman Reserator. Again, I realize these are expensive and not good "bang for the buck", but price is not really a consideration here. What are the ebst out of the box WC setups, or maybe cases that comes with rads, pumps, res's, etc all mounted?

HW specs are probably what you would imagine, i7 950, Asus WS Resolution MB, 12 GB RAM, VelociRaptor HDD, Solid State HDD, etc, etc. The only items that we would want to WC would be the CPU, vid card, and possible the NB/SB. Ideas?

get 2 295s. also get heatkiller blocks since theyre the best and (imo) the best looking. there is no reason to WC the ram or the hard drives, but you should really consider WCing the board. i7 NBs tend to run very hot, and are often the limiting factor on overclocks.

as for the water components, prebuilt stuff will never be the best you can get, and always looks bad. my suggestion: post your locale, and find someone on the forums to build it for you. there are many awesome people from all over the world on here who do this as a hobby, and even as a profession. this way, you can get the absolute best quality components, and you dont have to do any putting stuff together, testing, installing, or overclocking yourself. :)

try to find someone local because stuff can be damaged in shipping, and not being able to see the person and the stuff as its coming along can be a little unnerving with this much money on the line. i think a lot of people would be willing to put together these kinds of components for free, i know i would! but most likely a good price could be arranged for the job, and youd be pretty happy with it. you probably want to have 2 loops, and that means 2 rads and 2 reservoirs and lots of tubing. i can see why you odnt want to do it yourself. also, the case youre using might need some modding and you dont want to do that either. im sure youll find someone, and most likely if they know their stuff a couple other users can vouch for them so you know youre safe giving them your pricey components. just a suggestion. :)

Hey thanks for the reply, out of 100+ views you are the only one that has responded, lol. My buddy (and this is not me talking about myself in the 3rd person) might be willing to have a local guy do it if we can find one.

We are in the Tampa area and im sure if your stuff looks really good he would compensate you for it. He has a SilverStone TJ07 case. If we cant find anyone I guess its going to be the Koolance EXOS 2.5...

nah im in washington state and not experienced enough to deal with thousands of dollars of your stuff. try posting a thread in cases and case mods asking for someone to help you build a really nice gaming rig and you might find someone. also try renaming this thread or creating one in water cooling as well. if you dont get anyone, you might just have to get that other thing. good luck!
