I wanted to buy a AMD XP Shuttles barebones. Can I fit three or more hard drives into it? I have an external usb dvd drive and don't need a floppy.

I'll probably get a shuttle since I like the smaller look. If I put three hard drives, will a couple of hard drive cooler fans fit also? I'm worried about the heat so I'm going to run it open case.

Ive got three hard drives in my Sn45g plus a dvd burner. I would not recommend it though as there is almost no airflow over the ram and its a very tight squeeze. I used a few pieces of carbon fiber I had laying around to make brackets to attach the drive under the drive cage. So far no problems...so far.

I would personally go with a file server to store all your crap, and then a single 40GB drive in the box itself.

i would too, but i dont like the idea of all my shit being somewhere else, even though i have no problem spending on gigabit stuff.... i'm just weird
