Ok, so I read that the 4.12 betas are optimized for CS:S, and with the lousy perfomance I've been seeing, I'm about ready to try anything. I DL the 4.12's, and clean out the old ones as per the [H]ard instructions. But when I start up the 4.12's, it tells me "Setup was unable to find components that can be installed on your current hardware or software configuration". So I get pissed and fire up the install file for the old 4.11's, and now it tells me some INF Error and something about Windows not installing video controllers. :confused:
