Monoprice Tablet pressure sensitivity?

I have recently invested in one of these products (http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=108&cp_id=10841&cs_id=1084102&p_id=6814&seq=1&format=2) to use with my early 2011 MBP (15"). I have been using GIMP for drawing, however I have been unable to use any pressure sensitivity in the program. When I attempt to configure the tablet in the GIMP preferences, I am unable to do so as the tablet is not recognized.
I have installed the drivers that came with the tablet, as well as Wacom drivers. I'm wondering if there is a fix for pressure sensitivity in GIMP, or if there are other software products out there that are confirmed to have pressure sensitivity working with these Monoprice Tablets. Any help at all would be appreciated greatly.
