Monoprice 7.1 headset

arent most 7.1 or surround headsets kind of a gimmic a better quality stereo headset should be better with a better sound field range?

I think it is a stereo headphone with a mixamp. So it could be pretty decent for the $$. Especially if the mixamp works well.
 
im interested to see how these things perform. if its anything similar to monoprice's track record, they'll be phenomenal for their price.
 
Looks like they put up some new pictures and a description, what exactly does this connect to your PC with, USB?
 
Whoa, I wonder if you could connect any headphone to the Dolby receiver it comes with? Seems like the headphones just plug into it with a normal 3.5mm

Might be cool to try out the headphones, but then if you have better headphones, if you can get Dolby Surround with them for gaming?
