Monoprice 30" IPS 10734

30" monitors aren't ideal for watching movies/TV but that doesn't mean much since any LCD is crap compared to a Panasonic plasma.

30" is good for strategy games. 16:10 > 16:9 and FOV increases with resolution.

If you use it a lot the price difference between 27" and 30" is worth it.

Now to find real world reviews to see if its worth the price. It would be nice if it turned out to be a great monitor.
 
Is that StarCraft? It appears to not support 16:10 and 4:3 ratios properly.

Infinite FOV limited only by vertical resolution is possible in many far better strategy games.

@700$ I doubt it has an sRGB mode since the Korean models don't either=inaccurate and over-saturated colors for games and movies (MPC supports color management).

Spend your 700$ on a Viewsonic VP2770 or BenQ BL2710PT. None of the current 30" can hold a candle to the best 27" 1440p monitors. Given how flawed the 1000$ Dell 3014 is there must be something seriously wrong with the Monoprice version like the lack of proper brightness controls which their 27" suffers from.
