Monome - a Must See

The kicker: it costs $500, and it is nothing but an 8x8 grid of light-up buttons that signals via USB which button was pushed when, the software does everything, and it's even open source.

The demo is sort of neat, however, it seems fairly limited the styles of music you could create with it... it also seems like it might have an issue doing anything other than duple meter, and only 4/4 or derivations at that.
