Anyone have any experience with the EK monoblocks (for Hero 9 270 build).
Was going to buy a separate block for the CPU and try to find a mosfet block - but wondering if this is a good compromise.
Going to be in a loop with a 1080TI + Quad rad in push pull

I have an EK Monoblock on my X99 build...it's worked great to keep the CPU and VRM nice and cool. And it's far easier to deal with, since you don't have to route more tubing to and from a separate MOSFET/VRM cooling block. Fewer connectors, fewer chances of leaks.

I think the only drawback is the cost, and the fact it's basically single use. There's no way to reuse the block when you upgrade motherboards.

Thanks - ya I considered the reuse aspect but as sockets change the block manufacturers change and sometimes it's not easy to get mounting for them.
I'm curious how temps might fair vs using separate blocks - if it's a small difference than I don't care.
