On my Sony SDMP-234b monitor, when I try to access the "Screen" (where 'phase', 'pitch', etc.) area on the monitor's menu (NOT the vid card's menu, the actual monitor itself), it is grayed out and I can't select it...
Same goes for the vertical/horizontal height adjustment area, it's there but it's grayed out and I can't select it...
If I remember correctly, when I was running the monitor temporarily through VGA from an nvidia fx5200 card, I COULD access that part of the monitor's menu...Now that I've replaced that card with an AGP evga 7600 GS and I'm running it out through DVI, I can't select those options...
The thing is, Sony's own display adjustment utility calls for you to adjust these settings, and I've done it before, but why doesn't it work through DVI?
I tried to hook up the monitor/vid card through VGA again, but I get an "out of range" message on the monitor (which I know is not the monitor's problem but the vid card settings, which I haven't figured out yet)...
Anyone know what the deal is with those areas on the monitor's menu being grayed out is? Is it the DVI connection itself? I tried updating the driver to the latest version (off of the included CD) but it didn't make a difference...Doesn't sem to make sense that DVI itself would be the culprit, right?
btw, the "menu lock" option is not on, but it's as if those 2 options are locked....
