So, I currently have 3 basic LCD displays (17" each). These are going to be outside around a track displaying the standings. Unfortunately, it's cold outside (30-40 degrees) and the windchill is lower. Is there any easy way to "weatherproof" them so they can easily be read, but not electrocute everyone if it's cold and damp outside?

I was thinking I just build a wooden box around it and throw some sealant in the joints. Any other ideas are welcome.
 
Are they going to be under a roof or something similar where they will not be directly open to precipitation?
 
Great question I would also like to know.

How are electronics in real cold like 0 degree weather? Like HDD, mobo, cpu's(OC heaven) lol. I always figured electronics do great no matter how cold as long as it's dry.

So is it true dry cold(even sub zero) = idea environment for electronics?

Would hdd have problems in real cold with arm movement?

I like the plexiglass idea.
 
They will not be under cover, hence my thinking that I should build each monitor a box to put it in. So, all plexiglass or do I just use wood with a smaller plexi window? Any type of sealant recommended?
