Monitor uneven color

Its a samsung 2233sw the left side is dark but on the left side their are thick washed out looking lines. Is this monitor defective or is something else causing this. Iv tried multiple video cards slot, cables and monitors and its the monitor that has these lines.


The Picture makes the fading look worse.

it is a sort of defect know as "mura"

Basically a combination of a uneven back-light and uneven bezel pressure during assembly makes lines in the lcd, or uneven driving of the pixels in a few rows.

replace it if possible but often it isn't a warranty covered issue like "dead" pixels are.
