Ok, heres the deal.
I don't know if I'll be getting one, but I wanted to find the best fit for me in case I do.

Heres the basics that I'm looking for:
-monitor for my pc
-has to have a built in tv tuner
-support dvi
-be any where larger than 22inches (widescreen)
-looking for at least a res of 1680x1050, but do the lower resolutions kill quality on say 27in screens?
-would like it to support hdtv and 1080p/i
-would like speakers to be detachable

I would like price to stay below 700-800
If the price can stay below 500 that would be great, but I want to keep my options open.

Thanks
Bob

As far as I know, I don't think that what you are looking for exists.

If you want a TV tuner then you are not looking at any of the monitors commonly discussed here. I believe I saw one spoken about with a tuner but it didn't do 1:1 pixel mapping so all your content will be distorted to the native resolution.

If you look at TVs you won't find many with resolutions over 1366 X 768. At least not until you hit the 1080 models. As far as I know the smallest of those is the Westinghouse 37" and last I looked it was around $1200.

If you drop the TV requirements then things open up a lot for you. However right now there aren't many that will take an HDCP TV signal and maintain the 1:1 pixel mapping. The only I know of is the Dell 2407 and you can find PLENTY of Love/Hate reading on that model.

Good Luck,
-AK
