I'm running a QNIX QX2710 1440p monitor and am considering making the jump to 4k. I'll be up front and say I do not have the funds to buy a super nice monitor so I was considering a TV. My concern is the crossfire 290x 4gb isn't good enough. Also, that I won't be able to achieve 60fps.

I play an array of games and am not competitive where I need a 1mm panel or anything. I'm looking for feedback on what the capabilities of my current build at 4k and what improvements I would need to make. Thank you in advance.

Don't pay 469 for those cards. The new ones are cheaper. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127872

If you want 290x's look for deals under 300 bucks each.

You can play games fine at 4k with two of those, you just won't be able to max out a lot of games.
As I said in the OP I did not pay the prices listed for any parts. That is my pc I'm using right now for 1440p. If I would be unable to max out games at 4k (minus AA) at full fps I'd redo my build.

I was trying to read up on tvs that allow 60fps at 4k but you need either a compatible gpu or something else? I'd hate to get a 4k tv and be limited to 30fps. It wouldn't be worth it in my opinion.

If you want to go TV, your only choice is Nvidia. I would definitely pay a little premium for one card over two cards in SLI/CF. And 60 FPS depends on games that you play. You don't need Ultra everything at 4K and 40-60 FPS VSYNC is extremely playable if you're not the twitch FPS competitive type player.

In order to get 60 fps at 4K with full 4:4:4 color you need a real HDMI 2.0 connection (which even many 4k TVs seem to not have) or a DisplayPort connection to your monitor/tv. The Radon R9 290x has HDMI 1.4, so in order to be able to drive more than 30fps you'd have to connect with DisplayPort, which is available on many 4k monitors, and I think some Panasonic TVs. I'm not aware of any other TVs with DisplayPort, but maybe someone else will have an idea on some other models.

Personally, I've been eyeing the Philips 4065UC myself. It's a 40 inch 4K monitor with DisplayPort. Amazon has been selling it for $799 w/ prime when they have it in stock.

The AOC uses a TN panel which has poor colours and viewing angles compared to the Qnix and 4gb is not enough Vram for 4k. 4k is not magical; the ways in which it can improve image quality are limited to the viewing of static content since 60hz LCD sample and hold blur and PWM blur (applies to the 40" 4k Philips and Samsung 4k TVs) makes motion look equally as blurry as it does on a lower resolution monitor. Keep the Qnix or sell it for a slight loss and buy a overclock-able Crossover 2795 QHD which does not use PWM unlike the majority of Qnix variants and has faster pixel response times. 4k without Free or G-Sync (Vsync=LAG) or motion compensation (motion interpolation or back-light strobing=TV only=very high input lag) are gimmicks due to 60hz LCD sample and hold blur. The 540$ (Amazon US) Asus MG279Q (TFT Central Review) with Free-Sync is also a good choice.
