About to dive in and start OCing when my new card gets here. What i'd really like is something that will show CPU/GPU temp in game. Like fraps but with temps. Google turns out nothing conclusive...

MSI Afterbuner has an option for overalay of the GPU temp to be displayed in game.

On the CPU, i blieve HWinfo had a way to use the Riva tunner overlay to display the cpu temps, search google you should find old tutorials, but what i dont know, is from when Riva Tuner became MSI Afterbuner/ Evga Precision, idk if they drop that support or not.

Another alternative, but its paid, its Playclaw

Playclaw will do what you want IF it works. I found Playclaw to be very buggy and would kill some of my games or not let them start at all. A good program in theory but VERY poorly executed and has a long way to go.

MSI Afterburner is what I use. No CPU support, but with a H70 on my CPU I don't much worry...hell with the Kuhler 620 on my GPU I don't much worry...but you know how us PC gamers are...we have to make sure our shit is running cool and efficiently for some odd ass reason...that and we HAVE to know our frames per second...God forbid I can play a game without knowing.

If you want to check your CPU temps you need to run something like Prime95. A game isn't going to tax a quad core, it'll be running about 40%,

There a few options, the easiest which is what I do is I have multiple monitors. So I have the monitoring on another monitor. If you have a G15/G19 keyboard I like EVGA precision.

Give EVGA precision a try it as an overlay option that should give what you're looking for.

HWinfo works with MSI afterburner. You actually don't need afterburner running, you only need MSI On-Screen Display server running to monitor anything and everything from cpu speed to fan speed, load, temp, Hard drive temp, etc. Just install MSI Afterburner and HWinfo, right click the hwinfo icon on the right hand side of the task bar and select sensors. Then click on the configure button, in the window you can choose any of the entries you want to monitor and check the box "show" in the Riva Tuner OSD section.

I personally run on a second monitor is EVGA Precision X for GPU and Realtemp for my CPU. If you need more temps you can also throw HWinfo or if you have Asus, they have some built in thermal monitor programs you could use.
