I currently have a system without a GPU at the moment, and can handle many of the games that I play at the moment. I am looking to buy a non-reference R9 290 in near future but that's not the point of the thread. I primarily play FPS for now but eventually, I want to get into a triple display setup. I currently have Asus LS221H, which will replace my work monitor.
I always set brightness all the way down to 0 and use f.lux all the time (i.e. 24/7 Halogen mode) due to eye strain. Because of this, I am thinking of switching over to matte from glossy, which is what LS221H has. Here's what I am looking for:
-Price. I am not sure where to start. Is $500 a good budget? I don't think I can get a quality 1440P with this budget. If so, I will go for 1080P.
-27" I am not sure if I want to go higher than 27" for portrait.
-Matte finish
-120 Hz desired.
-Pivot. Since I want to have a triple portrait setup, this is very desirable.
-Thin & uniform bezel thickness.
-Low response time but doesn't necessarily have to be 1ms. I don't think 1ms vs 5ms really matter so this should be low priority.
-Built-in speakers. If possible, I'd like to avoid it at all costs. To me, it's a useless feature that's waiting to be broken.
Thanks!
